What’s in A Name? Why Blue Heron?
When choosing a name for my Reiki practice, I wanted something that truly reflected the essence of my work—healing, self-discovery, and transformation. The Blue Heron represents all of that and more.
In many Native American traditions, the Blue Heron is seen as a symbol of self-reflection, inner wisdom, and resilience. It is known for its ability to stand still in the water, patiently waiting for the right moment to act—a lesson in trust, intuition, and timing. Herons are also known for being solitary, yet deeply connected to their environment, reminding us that true strength comes from embracing our own path and inner knowing.
Spiritually, the Blue Heron embodies balance, independence, and a deep connection to the unseen. It teaches us to go within, trust our instincts, and navigate life’s waters with grace. Much like Reiki, the heron guides us toward self-discovery and transformation, helping us stand in our power and flow with life’s natural rhythms.
At Blue Heron Reiki, my goal is to create a space where you can reconnect with your own wisdom, heal old wounds, and find clarity on your journey. Just as the heron trusts the stillness before taking flight, I help my clients pause, realign, and move forward with renewed energy and confidence.
Because healing isn’t about escaping life—it’s about learning to move through it with grace, strength, and a little bit of magic.
